So inV Daily decided to go after DJ Syriana Paine stating that she is difficult to work with and quoting several former business owners. I find it quite entertaining that in their comments they write “Don‘t Kill The Messenger.“ I had the pleasure of going to two of DJ Syriana‘s events hosted at Jake‘s Club. She certainly did not seem like a diva to me. She was friendly, engaging, fun and flirty with the crowd. I do not really know what she is like to work with as I do not know her nor have I ever spoken to her privately.
We thought we would quote her profile and let you decide!

I have to chime in here. Syriana Pain is nothing less than an absolute professional when it comes to her work.
ReplyDeleteWhen employed by us at the former DEVILinside Syriana never whinged about other DJ's. She always arrived at work on time and stayed back late, because she was doing what she loved.
I have the utmost admiration for this woman who in the face of agression from other DJ's just put her head down and got on with the job we hired her to do.
I only wish other primadonna DJ's we as flexible and hard working as this woman.
As per the norm for inV they have an agenda. If the 3 club owners were so agreable to the article they should have had the balls to alloow their names be printed. But my guess the messenger IS the originator, and they should have been shot long ago.

ReplyDeleteThe times i went to the parties she hosted or was DJ-ing on, she really did the perfect job. Always very entertaining, sweet, and so on.
I myself had the honour to throw a party where she was the DJ and it went perfect. She was on time and did everything she was asked for and even more.
Syri is most definately NOT a paine. She is the most wonderful woman I ever met on SL. That's why I am also very proud to call her my big sister.
Never will you hear a bad word about this wonderfull, and very talented DJ from me.
I think a comment from a relatively new member of SL is in order. Syriana is not only an amazing and attentive DJ, she is a friend. I can say first hand that she not only plays the songs you request, she does it without even taking a cent.
ReplyDeleteSyri has an uncanny ability to learn the songs that customers like and plays them before even having them request. She is attentive, fascinating, and one of the best DJ's I have seen on my short time on SL.
Her talent and captivating personality speak for themselves - you heard it here first.
I just want to take a moment and say thank you. I appreciate an honest post, positive or negative as long as it's genuinely honest and not fueled by malice. As for the comments, again, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I love what I do in SL and will continue to for a long time to come.

Syriana is one of the most warm and welcoming Djs I have met in SL. I have been to many of her sets and I have not once felt like I did not want to be there, because it was so much fun.

I hope one day to be as great a DJ as Syriana Paine. I've looked up to her since before I started working in SL. I don't see her much anymore, but when I do she reminds me of what a fantastic DJ and person she is. And I hope for nothing but the best for her.

ReplyDeleteNo DJ in SL has the ability to read the crowd, tap into their mood, and elevate the entire room to a place we all enjoy being. Her talent is nothing less than an ART form. Her animal instinct ...grrrrrrrr ...brings us all with her to a place of heightened ecstasy.
